– Dayton, Texas (Open in Google Maps) Job Details Job ID: 5698459 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: May 07, 2026 5:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Aug 3, 2026 Job Description Position Title: STEM Instructional Lab Aide FLSA: Non‑exempt Reports to: Principal Qualifications At least 2 years of study at an institution of higher education Obtained an associate’s degree or higher Meet a rigorous standard of quality test Ability to work well with children and in a 1‑on‑1 setting Ability to communicate effectively Experience working with children Major Responsibilities and Duties Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays. Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments. Help maintain neat and orderly classroom. Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment. Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports. Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers. Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups or whole class. Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom—including lunchroom, bus, and playground duty. Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students. Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance. Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned. Maintain confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor. Attendance is an essential job function. Working Conditions Maintain emotional control under stress; high stress and fast‑paced; work with frequent interruptions; repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; some district‑wide travel.
