As a Designer, you will be responsible for the detailed design of outside plant (OSP) elements (aerial and/or underground) and fiber designs for telecommunication networks. You’ll work closely with the engineering team to create constructible GPON network designs using various tools, collaborating with design and construction teams under the guidance of the Design Manager. This role involves both office and field work, supporting construction staff with safety and quality control. Join our True Blue team today and help build the networks of tomorrow! Essential Responsibilities Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for projects such as FTTH deployments and commercial developments Work with power company and design power route and one-line schematics Manage growth and sustainment of existing networks, including relocations and infrastructure changes Perform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP records Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes Conduct site walks for data collection and collaborating with cross-functional teams Ability to adapt within a dynamic work environment Qualifications College, Trade, or Technical Diploma (preferably civil, electrical/telecommunications, GIS). 3+ years in OSP telecommunications or related field using AutoCAD. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe. GIS is a plus. Strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to interpret construction documents and collaborate effectively. Work Conditions Home-based (90%) with occasional travel (We're thrilled to announce the opening of our new office in Florence, Kentucky soon to become our central hub for collaboration and growth. Employees within commuting distance will transition to a full-time, in-office role based in Florence once the new location is operational.
