This position may be located in Cincinnati, Springboro, or Sidney.

Responsibilities

• Business Development and Collaboration
  • Target Accounts to gain market share
    • Collaborate with account managers to identify Top 5-10 accounts with most potential for growth or conversion
    • Coordinate action plan to promote products, technologies, and solutions to the customer
    • Act as subject matter expert at the design table to steer technology selection early in the process
    • Collaborate with CBT Power Transmission, Electrical Supplies, Digital Solutions, and CSG SBU specialists to maximize CBT scope
• Support
  • Internal CBT Customers
    • Provide technical expertise in area of focus to CBT sales personnel
    • Respond to support and/or technology requests
    • Provide appropriate level of training to enable inside and outside sales and specialist teams to effectively sell/position CBT solutions
    • Introduce new products, solutions, and technologies to inside and outside sales and specialist teams
    • Provide marketing with technical assistance to support development of sales collateral and/or marketing campaigns
  • External Customers
    • Engage customers in their design phase to assist with product selection and design decisions
    • Sell the "CBT Solution", incorporating other SBU offerings to maximize CBT market share at each customer
    • Respond to post-sales support requests
      • Determine if service should be referred to CSG for quote
        • General rule – post-sale engagements requiring over one hour of time should be referred to CSG for review/proposal
        • Commercial and/or product issues could be special cases and should be reviewed with SBU manager.
• Communication & Documentation
  • Document customer calls and value-add activities in CRMGo
  • Report on target account and product group performance in weekly cadence call.
  • Provide updates and communicate training, support, or other needs in weekly cadence call
  • Utilize the relevant initiative, vertical, and/or specialist dashboards to measure progress and success against the business plan for your target accounts and area of focus
  • Participate in semi-annual business reviews with CBT leadership
• Technology Expertise & Capability
  • Complete training in primary areas of expertise to maintain knowledge of product offerings and market trends
  • Understand competitive products/brands
    • What is their offering, and how does it compare to CBT brands?
    • Where do they operate and what customers do they target?
    • What are their competitive strengths and weaknesses?

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years in a similar role with field experience. Preferable in a distribution company, contractor, or manufacturing environment
• 3 – 5 years outside sales experience in industry. Track record of success in business to business sales. Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to convincingly persuade others. Ability to clearly and effectively set and meet goals.

Working Environment: Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing, walking, lifting (overhead, waist level), bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
