Part-time Welding Lab Coordinator

This position is a part-time, temporary position filled each semester on an as-needed basis. This posting will stay open continuously in order to build a pool of qualified candidates for future openings as lab coordinators. Applicants will not be notified unless there is an actual need to fill the position. Responsibilities Assisting Program Chair or Adjunct Faculty in answering questions from students regarding lab projects. Teaching demonstrations. Performing minor repairs on equipment. Preparing equipment and materials for labs. Maintaining tool room. Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work. Requirements High school diploma required. Two years of welding experience. Mechanical aptitude. Good communication skills. Ability to work independently. Be able to lift 50 pounds. Technical Certificate and two years on-the-job training as a preferred.
