Role Description The Assistant Visual Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the Old Navy store in Waldorf, MD. This role supports the Visual Manager in executing in-store visual merchandising strategies, ensuring that floor sets, mannequins, signage, and product displays reflect brand standards and seasonal storytelling. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating merchandising updates, maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, and partnering with store leaders to optimize product placement for customer experience and sales performance. The Assistant Visual Manager will train and guide store team members on visual standards, assist with inventory transitions, and respond quickly to business needs such as promotions and new product launches. This role also involves monitoring store presentation, providing feedback to leadership, and contributing ideas to improve visual impact and overall brand representation. Qualifications Experience in visual merchandising, retail display, or store presentation, with a strong eye for detail and aesthetics. Background in retail operations or store management, including coordinating floor sets, signage changes, and product placement. Ability to interpret and implement brand guidelines, visual directives, and promotional plans in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills to guide and influence team members and partner effectively with store leadership. Organizational and time-management skills to plan, prioritize, and complete visual tasks within required timelines. Comfort with physical aspects of the role, including lifting, moving fixtures, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation. Prior experience in fashion or apparel retail is preferred; familiarity with customer-focused store practices is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in visual merchandising, fashion, or design is a plus.
