Material Handler

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team, responsible for hand filling spice bottles, packaging them into boxes, palletizing boxes, and preparing shipments.

• Hand fill spice bottles accurately and efficiently.
• Package filled bottles into boxes for shipment.
• Palletize boxes to ensure safe and organized transportation.
• Prepare shipments according to company standards.
• Communicate with management regarding low product levels.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality standards.

• Experience in general labor, material handling, and production.
• Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.
• Proficient in bending, twisting, and lifting.
• Basic reading and writing skills in English.
• Experience with RF scanners, loading, picking, and packaging.

• On-site training specific to job responsibilities, including equipment and machinery operation.

This role operates in a manufacturing plant environment, working around moving mechanical parts and motorized vehicles, with exposure to airborne spice particles. The facility has a noticeable spice aroma, which employees typically acclimate to within a week. Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the first shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Ankeny, IA.

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
