Finance Law Associate Attorney (New York)

Law firm on Lexington Avenue in downtown Manhattan, NY (financial district) seeks a Midlevel Associate Attorney (4–6 years) for its growing Banking Practice Group. The successful candidate will have significant expertise in transactional debtor's law, including creating liens and advances for creditworthy borrowers, overseeing daily legal affairs for banks and investment groups, and representing mid-sized to large financiers in standard lending deals. This position also entails evaluating risk, counseling clients on optimal financing structures, and ensuring their funds are utilized strategically and efficiently.The ideal candidate will possess 4-6 years of experience with a solid track record (average of 2 years) at prominent large law firms or specific AmLaw legal practices.Responsibilities:Advise and represent lenders and borrowers in various financing transactionsNegotiate, draft, and finalize domestic and international deals (syndicated and bilateral; secured and unsecured)Create and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, participation contracts, receivables purchase contracts, and related supplementary paperworkAnalyze pertinent matters under UCC (including Articles 9, 5, 8, and 12) and the Bankruptcy CodeRequirementsJuris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school4+ years of experience in a private practice law firm setup (or assigned to a financial institution)Able to manage a load of 10+ cases simultaneously with utmost efficiency and precisionThe annual base salary falls between $180,000 and $200,000. The final salary for the successful appointee will hinge on various factors, such as work history, skill set, and other criteria outlined in the job description.
