The Association for Advancing Automation (A3), North America's leading automation trade association, is looking for a Sales Manager to drive growth across strategic industry verticals.

This is more than a sales position. You'll become a trusted advisor to companies investing in robotics, AI, machine vision, motion control, and industrial automation while helping them maximize their engagement with A3 through membership, events, sponsorships, advertising, and educational programs.

We're looking for a hunter: someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships from the ground up, uncovering new opportunities, and turning prospects into long-term customers. What You'll Do

• Develop and execute growth strategies for assigned industry verticals, identifying opportunities to expand A3's reach and revenue.
• Proactively identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities while growing revenue from existing accounts.
• Build relationships from the ground up with manufacturers, integrators, technology suppliers, OEMs, distributors, and end users.
• Research target markets, identify key decision-makers, and develop strategies to open doors with prospective customers.
• Consult with companies on how A3 can help them achieve their business objectives through membership, sponsorships, advertising, conferences, exhibitions, and educational programs.
• Sell across A3's portfolio, developing solutions that align with customer needs and create long-term value.
• Represent A3 at trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and networking events to build relationships and generate new opportunities.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, consistently follow up on prospects, and achieve revenue goals.
• Work closely with marketing and leadership to develop strategies that expand A3's presence and drive growth in key markets.

What You Bring

• Proven success in consultative sales, new business development, or strategic account management.
• A hunter mentality with a demonstrated ability to prospect, open doors, build new relationships, and close business.
• A track record of generating new revenue while strengthening long-term customer relationships.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Self-motivation, persistence, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple opportunities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize activities that generate results.
• Experience using CRM systems to manage opportunities, maintain pipeline visibility, and forecast sales.
• Willingness to travel to industry events and customer meetings.
