Household Manager & Family Assistant

OVERVIEWA working mother who runs several businesses is looking for a trusted, capable person to help her household run smoothly. The role has three priorities: keep a large home consistently clean and in excellent order, cook wholesome meals for a family of four, and provide reliable childcare and household support so the mother can focus on her work and her family.This is a hands-on, doer role. We are not looking for someone to manage vendors or delegate tasks. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing the work well and takes ownership of the home as if it were their own.Location: Draper, Utah; occasional travel to Arizona and other locationsHousehold: Working mother; family of four with young childrenHours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; availability mindset beyond core hoursReports To: The Principal (the mother)RESPONSIBILITIESHousehold Cleaning & Home Care• Personally clean a large home to a high, consistent standard on a regular schedule—all rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas.• Manage all household laundry: washing, drying, folding, steaming, and putting away correctly for the whole family.• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitary at all times; manage trash, recycling, and the dishwasher daily.• Maintain children’s rooms and play areas on an ongoing basis.• Handle light outdoor upkeep: entries, trash bins, plant care.• Open and close the home when the family travels.Cooking & Kitchen Management• Prepare simple, healthy, family-friendly meals for a family of four, including young children.• Collaborate with the mother on a weekly menu; handle grocery shopping accordingly.• Keep the pantry and refrigerator stocked, organized, and rotated; discard expired items proactively.• Wash and prep produce using the family’s preferred natural methods (baking soda and vinegar).• Maintain staples: bread, eggs, dairy, snacks, paper goods, and cleaning supplies.Childcare & Family Support• Provide attentive, nurturing childcare when the mother is working, in meetings, or needs time. Includes infants and young children; diaper changing as needed.• Engage children in age-appropriate, enriching activities—not just supervision.• Transport children to activities and appointments as needed.• Support age-appropriate habits of responsibility and tidiness, as directed by the mother.Errands & Household Support• Run household errands: dry cleaning, package returns, grocery runs, gift purchases, and similar tasks.• Assist with scheduling, appointments, and calendar management for the mother as needed.• Help prepare the home and family for travel; occasional travel to Arizona or other locations with the family.• Assist the mother with communications and household correspondence as directed.REQUIREMENTS• Legal authorization to work in the United States.• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.• Proven, hands-on experience cleaning and maintaining a home to a high standard.
