Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Clinic Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: One year nursing experience preferred License: Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: Knowledge of practical nursing principles and skills, including examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures, medication effects on patients, and patient education principles. Description: Provide professional nursing care to patients following established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques. Demonstrate competence in making professional judgments pertaining to patient care. Assist providers in patient care and education. Actively participate as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions is essential. Knowledge of office procedures and medical terminology is required. Basic knowledge of coding guidelines is expected. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively is necessary. Must be able to react calmly and effectively during emergency situations. Identify and analyze problems, prioritize, and make confident quick decisions while recommending effective solutions. Ability to administer a variety of medications and treatments and utilize various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures is crucial. Working conditions involve a fast-paced, stressful environment. May be exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and bodily fluids common to a clinic environment. May require working irregular hours. Physical demands include full range body motion including handling and lifting patients, and manual dexterity. Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds may be required. Corrected vision and hearing within normal range are necessary for this position.
