PT - Direct Support Professional (DSP)Support Services/ Harford CountyRate of Pay $22/hr*FLSA Status: Non-exemptWe are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.Support a woman in the Darlington area with developing independence in her home and community. Assist with being active and exercising while getting out and participating in activities in my community that I enjoy. This might include going out to eat, shopping, taking a class, going for walks, crafts, and other recreation and leisure activities. Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life.This position is:Sunday 11a-4pTuesday 11a-4pThursday 11a-4p15 hours/ weekThe schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported.Job duties:DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by:Assisting with participation and exploration of the communityCultivating and expanding independent living skillsAssisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationshipsImplementing strategies to achieve individuals' personal goals.Complete required documentation (e.g., incident reports, progress notes, behavior data, fire drills etc.)Administer and record medications pursuant to State and Agency requirements, when applicableComplete all agency required trainings to remain in compliance of polices and regulationsBenefits include:401(k) Retirement PlanSick and Vacation timeEmployee Assistance ProgramPay as you goShort and Long-term disability plansSupport Services DSPs – mileage and activity reimbursementQualifications:Eligible candidates must have a high school degree/GEDMust have a current driver's license with less than three points on the driving record.Must be at least 20 years oldMust have at least 2 years of driving experienceMust be able to transport people supported as neededMust have personal vehicle to transport participants* Regular Base rate is $22/hr. There is an additional $1/hr. shift differential for weekend shifts. ($22 +$1=$23/hr.)
