The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field, with a thorough understanding and hands-on experience in non-invasive ventilation, ABG sampling & interpretation support, oxygen therapy devices & titration, aerosolized medication delivery, nebulizer therapy, and airway suctioning. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Responsibilities:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for the following: 1. Administering non-invasive ventilation and managing patients with respiratory issues.
2. Performing ABG sampling and interpretation to monitor and manage the patient's respiratory status.
3. Utilizing oxygen therapy devices and performing titration to ensure appropriate oxygen levels for patients.
4. Delivering aerosolized medication and providing nebulizer therapy to patients as needed.
5. Performing airway suctioning to maintain clear airways for patients.
6. Evaluating and monitoring patients' respiratory care plans and progress.
7. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to devise individualized care plans for patients.
8. Educating patients and their families about their conditions and teaching appropriate disease management techniques.
9. Maintaining, cleaning, and regularly testing respiratory therapy equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
10. Adhering to safety standards and precautions at all times. Qualifications: 1. A valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
3. Proficiency in non-invasive ventilation, ABG sampling & interpretation, oxygen therapy devices & titration, aerosolized medication delivery, nebulizer therapy, and airway suctioning.
4. Excellent patient care skills and a deep understanding of respiratory care principles and practices.
5. The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, challenging healthcare environment.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
7. A commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge of advancements in respiratory care.
8. The ability to handle stressful situations and make decisions under pressure.
9. The physical stamina for regular, heavy lifting and the ability to stand for long periods.
