Pre-Analytical Laboratory Technician II
$17 - $34 per hourAbbott
Abbott seeks a Pre-Analytical Laboratory Technician II to prepare samples for analysis, manage specimen accessioning, verify patient information, and perform data entry in a diagnostic laboratory setting. The role requires experience with laboratory processes, sample handling protocols, and laboratory information systems.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, unpack, and log incoming samples using specified software
- Perform sample accessioning including verification of patient demographics, sample ID, and labeling
- Enter and review sample information in LIMS; print and process required work lists
- Scan and file pathology reports, requisitions, and associated medical documents
- Evaluate insurance information and verify billing details for incoming samples
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years laboratory experience maintaining sample integrity and following protocols
- Proficiency with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Advanced computer skills including email and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of good documentation practices (GDP)
- Ability to work Monday-Thursday and Saturday, 9am-5:30pm PST
Compensation: $17.00–$34.00/hour
