Multi- craft Maintenance Technician

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Multi-craft Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Multi-craft Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical skills, effective communication, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Multi-craft Maintenance Technician

Location: Selma, AL

Pay Range: $30.90/hr

Shift: 2nd shift 2:30pm-1:00am Mon-Thurs

What's the Job?

• Focus, communicate, encourage, and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings.
• Install, diagnose, and troubleshoot production machinery by performing failure analysis and repairs, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and minor electrical work, while balancing production needs.
• Provide temporary repairs when necessary to minimize downtime and work on special projects such as rerouting conveyors, moving machinery, and running gas and air lines.
• Test and verify proper operation of equipment upon completion of maintenance tasks with assistance from operators.
• Observe and practice good housekeeping and safe work procedures while performing all assigned duties and perform preventive maintenance and inspections of manufacturing and facilities equipment.

What's Needed?

• Advanced mechanical skills with the ability to read and utilize mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and parts diagrams.
• Basic electrical skills including use of multi-meters, testing power sources, fuses, installing conduit, running power wiring, and terminating communication wires and power leads.
• Welding skills and safe forklift and mobile lift equipment operation.
• Valid Driver’s License (required).
• Ability to plan and prioritize work assignments and perform preventive maintenance.
