About This Role

Supporting a team-oriented environment, the Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere for children. Key responsibilities include collaborating with Teachers and the Director to implement a quality educational program and fostering positive relationships with children and their parents. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to document and relay important information to parents and staff. By working closely with the Teacher and Director, the Teacher Assistant helps to develop activities that cater to children's interests and needs.

• Partner with Teachers and the Director to implement curriculum activities and encourage participation from the children.
• Take an active role in daily activities, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, and the availability of classroom materials.
• Build effective relationships with parents through regular discussions and progress reports.
• Model self-help and good hygiene practices to promote a positive environment.
• Facilitate a smooth transition from home to the child care center.
• Adhere to all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• An understanding of child development.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• High energy.
