The Opportunity

Property management company is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations for a sizable multifamily portfolio, while gaining direct exposure and mentorship from senior leaders with extensive experience scaling assets across New York.

What you'll be responsible for

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a multifamily portfolio
• Lead the month-end close process with accuracy and accountability
• Prepare and review financial statements
• Oversee rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and cash management activity
• Handle bank, operating, and escrow account reconciliations
• Review budget-to-actual variances and provide clear analysis to leadership
• Work closely with property management and operations teams
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team (2)

What they're seeking

• 5+ years of real estate or multifamily accounting experience
• Strong experience owning month-end close and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with Yardi (Voyager highly preferred) xhyhwjd
