Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Ventura, CA

Company: Confidential Fortune 100 manufacturing employer

Pay: $35–$40/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts

Openings: 1 on first shift, 1 on second shift

1st shift: approx. 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
2nd shift: approx. 4:00 PM–12:00 AM

Shift Type: Straight shift, no rotation

Overtime: Available, amount may vary

What You’ll Do

Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and installation on manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility equipment
Work on mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, welding, HVAC, sheet metal, and hydraulic repairs
Fabricate metal framework using welding and industrial fasteners
Fabricate tubing and piping systems using materials such as copper, stainless steel, PVC, and CPVC
Fabricate sheet metal ductwork systems
Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, prints, drawings, manuals, and work instructions
Support facility projects involving plumbing, drywall, floor repair, and general plant maintenance
Help keep production equipment and facility systems running safely and efficiently

What You Need

4–8 years of directly related maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, electrical, welding, HVAC, and fabrication skills
Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, drawings, prints, and manuals
Must have own tools and tool chest
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly
Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
Comfortable working independently and supporting day-to-day plant maintenance needs
