System Analyst

System AnalystLocation: Onsite 2 weeks per month in Durham, NC or Westlake, TXThe Health Care Technology Group (HCG) Team is looking to fill an interesting and challenging position on its development team. As a Principle Software Engineer, you will be a senior member, encouraged to supply to the technical leadership and center of competence within the HCG team. This includes:Providing mentoring to the HCG team of developers and tech leads with specific emphasis on sound fundamental development methodology.Providing leadership on project development policies, procedures, standards and strategies.Participating in the HCG team's effort to improve the efficiency and quality of the entire development process.The Expertise You Have:8-10 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years managing IT projects/initiatives as a Systems Analyst.Bachelors Degree (Computer Science or related fields)Hands-on experience handling Systems Analysis for large complex applications, proposing Data Model design changes and enable System Design changes working with Technical LeadersExperience leading, influencing, and collaborating in a matrix-managed environment and across multiple, diverse groups.Good interpersonal, relationship management and facilitation skillsThe Skills You Bring:Robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and to engage with peers in technical and design discussionsAbility to analyze business problems and come up with solutionsStrong analytical skills and ability to solve issues and work through ambiguous situations by making timely decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience, and judgmentHave a collaborative approach to problem solving and your ability to adapt plans based on organizational dynamics and constraints.Triage technical issues – write SQL queries, look at test results, analyze and validate design etc.Ability to successfully deliver large-scale product initiatives by empowering and supporting your team and by helping to identify and remove impediments.Ability to operate and influence in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.Strong consultative, listening, communications and analytical skills.Desire to contribute to an organization committed to innovation and continuous improvement.
