SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY Our clients are seeking compassionate and dedicated Paraprofessionals to support students ages 5-17 with autism, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, emotional disabilities, speech and language impairments, multiple disabilities, and other complex learning needs. As an ISBE-approved therapeutic day school, the program provides highly individualized instruction in a structured, relationship-based environment focused on academic, social-emotional, communication, and life skills development. CLIENT'S LOCATION Schools are located in Bannockburn, IL DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide direct classroom support to students with autism, developmental disabilities, emotional disabilities, and other special needs in a therapeutic day school setting. * Assist the teacher in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), behavior intervention plans, and instructional activities. * Support students with academic tasks, communication development, social skills training, and daily living skills. * Assist with behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques as directed by classroom staff. * Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help students meet educational and behavioral goals. CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE * Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with school staff * Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude * Experience supporting students with special needs is a plus * Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent (associates or higher preferred) DTG ADVANTAGES * Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health. * Compensation processed weekly * Increase or decrease your schedule at your discretion: choose opportunities that best fit your schedule * Accessibility to grow professionally.
