Surgical Technologist – Certified (Travel)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 4:30 PM) | Projected Start: 10/19/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the type of surgical case, using physician preference cards as a baseline
• Establishes and maintains the sterile field; passes instruments and sutures to the physician and assists as directed throughout surgical procedures
• Actively monitors for and prevents breaches in aseptic technique, maintaining a safe surgical environment including traffic control, dress codes, and OR sanitation policies
• Performs patient skin preparation for surgery, positions patients according to procedure type, and transports patients to and from the OR suite
• Identifies, handles, and cares for biological specimens in accordance with facility standards
• Demonstrates clinical expertise in the use and care of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment; adheres to Universal Barrier Precautions in all patient care situations

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required within 180 days of graduation, or active LVN/LPN License required
• BLS certification via American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Availability for weekend and on-call requirements
• EMR experience; facility utilizes EPIC

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of surgical technologist experience preferred
• Ability to proficiently scrub in 3 or more specialty areas (e.g., Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, Robotics) highly preferred
• Familiarity with decontamination, processing, and sterilization of instruments and supplies
