Executive Pastor
Slingshot Group
Cibolo Creek Community Church is seeking its next Executive Pastor to provide strategic leadership and operational excellence in support of the church’s mission to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. This role serves as a key partner to the Senior Pastor, ensuring the vision and direction of the church are effectively implemented through strong organizational leadership, healthy staff culture, and clear strategic execution. The Executive Pastor will champion leadership development across the church’s staff and ministry teams, oversee the implementation and progress of the annual strategic plan, and manage the church’s core administrative functions with wisdom and integrity. This position is responsible for aligning people, systems, and resources to support ministry effectiveness, organizational health, and long‑term growth. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who thrives in building teams, strengthening operations, and creating environments where both staff and congregation can flourish in their mission and calling. Some church opportunities are about fixing problems. This one is about building on something healthy. Cibolo Creek Community Church already has a strong foundation—people who love their church, a clear commitment to the gospel, and a leadership team that genuinely wants to reach their community well. What makes this role so exciting is that the church is asking an important question: “How do we steward what God has already given us and prepare for what’s next?” That’s where this Executive Pastor role comes in. The Senior Pastor is looking for a true partner—someone who enjoys turning vision into reality, helping teams work well together, and building the kind of healthy systems that allow ministry to flourish. This isn’t just about operations; it’s about creating the environment where pastors and ministry leaders can focus on what they do best: caring for people and helping them grow in their faith. I also love the setting for ministry. The Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne area is one of the fastest‑growing parts of the Texas Hill Country. Families are moving here every year looking for strong community, great schools, and a place to put down roots. That kind of growth creates real opportunities for a church to welcome new people, build relationships, and share the hope of the gospel. And then there’s the church itself. There’s a genuine warmth to the people at Cibolo Creek. It’s the kind of place where relationships matter, where leaders want to grow, and where there’s a shared desire to see God continue to work in their church and community. For the right leader, this opportunity offers something really special: the chance to serve alongside a great team, help shape the future of a healthy church, and do ministry in a community where both your leadership and your family can thrive. A great match for this position would be: The right leader for this role is someone who loves the church and also enjoys helping it run well behind the scenes. They understand that strong systems, wise stewardship, and healthy teams create the environment where ministry can flourish. Many great candidates for this role will already be serving in a similar executive or operational leadership role within a church. They understand the rhythms of ministry, the complexity of leading staff and volunteers, and the importance of aligning people and resources around a clear mission. At the same time, this role could also be an excellent fit for someone who has developed strong leadership experience outside the traditional church setting. Leaders who have served in nonprofit leadership, organizational management, or business environments—especially in areas like finance, operations, or strategic planning—may bring valuable perspective and skill to the role. What matters most is the ability to translate vision into action and steward the church’s resources wisely. A strong candidate will likely demonstrate: A heart for the local church and a desire to see people grow in their faith. Strong organizational and leadership instincts, with the ability to build and improve systems. Financial and operational wisdom, ensuring the church’s resources are managed with excellence and integrity. Relational leadership, someone who builds trust easily and enjoys helping teams thrive. Strategic thinking, with the ability to turn big‑picture vision into practical next steps. Above all, the right leader will see this role as a calling—not just to manage ministry, but to serve the church in a way that empowers others to lead and helps the mission of Cibolo Creek Community Church move forward.
