We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.Job Summary:Creates, develops, plans, writes, and edits operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia, or web-based publication in both collaborative and independent environments. This position conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation. Researches and translates technical information/photos/video into manuals and/or web-based documents for nontechnical users and may also document engineering processes and specifications. This position is of limited complexity.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.• Maintain records and files of work and revisions• Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel.• Confer with internal customer representatives, subject matter experts, plant executives, or publishers to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publications.• Learn to use professional concepts and works on problems of limited scope.• Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.• Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.• Generate and edit photographs, videos, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.• Leverages creative and technical abilities to deliver engaging documentation.• Other tasks as assigned by supervisorEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related discipline and 5 years minimum of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Other Essential Duties:• Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen• Familiarity with ERP systems• Multi-media skills desirable (Photoshop, video editing)Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
