Grinding Machine Operator / Set up Operator

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic understanding of sheet metal processes desired. Familiarity with debur equipment and tools is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Adherence to safety procedures and guidelines.

Previous On-the-Job- Department Experience, Will Train

• Perform deburring operations on sheet metal components using handheld or bench grinders
• Inspect workpieces for imperfections, such as burrs, sharp edges, or surface defects
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Use measuring tools, such as calipers or gauges, to verify dimensions and specifications
• Maintain and clean grinding equipment and work area
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Other duties as assigned

20/20 vision with or without correction, use of hands 100% of the time, stand, bend, stoop, twist, turn. Must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 lbs

Hearing Protection, Disposable Respirator-N95 Mask, Apron, Safety Glasses, Steel Toed Shoes, Gloves, Safety Belt

Monday-Friday plus Saturdays when needed

Some OT required

2:30pm-10:30pm

$22.00-24.00/hr DOE

Experience:

• Grinding: 1 year (Preferred)
• Machine operation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Sheet metal: 1 year (Preferred)
• Attention to detail: 1 year (Preferred)
• Heavy lifting: 1 year (Preferred)
