Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience to provide specialized care in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess current licenses and certifications, and demonstrate proficiency in critical care procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care for critically ill adults in the ICU using advanced clinical skills.
• Manage ventilators, chest tubes, NG tubes, and other critical care equipment.
• Assess patient needs, monitor vital signs, and document findings accurately in Meditech Expanse.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, adhering to protocol and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active nursing license in good standing, with a Kentucky or compact license.
• Possess at least 2 years of ICU experience in a hospital environment.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification (renewed annually).
• Demonstrate proficiency with telemetry, central lines, blood transfusions, and ventilators.
• Experienced in port access, therapeutic phlebotomy, and post-dialysis assessments.
