Senior Security Engineer, Security Operations – Responsible for automating the entire security operations lifecycle with AI and advanced detection techniques. Working within ServiceNow’s global platform, this role builds autonomous workflows that replace manual SOC practices. Full‑time | Regular | Region: AMS – North America and Canada | Work Persona: Flexible or Remote Key Responsibilities E2E IR Automation: Design and implement end‑to‑end automation for the incident‑response lifecycle (Detection, Triage, Containment, Recovery). Detection Engineering: Build and tune high‑fidelity detections in SIEM, EDR, and AI SOC platforms. AI‑Driven Ops: Leverage LLMs, prompt engineering, and MCP servers to create agentic security workflows that scale defensive capabilities. Purple Teaming: Detect and disrupt internal red‑team attacks, closing vulnerabilities. Validate the Defense: Design and execute automated tests to confirm detections and playbooks trigger appropriately. Data‑Driven Decision Making: Gather data and make informed decisions on complex scenarios. Incident Response: Support active incidents as an incident responder, using each event to improve future automation. Qualifications 1–5 years of experience in Security Operations or Security Engineering. Proficiency in Python, comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and Git. Hands‑on experience with AWS (IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty); Kubernetes (EKS) is a major plus. Deep knowledge of prompt engineering, LLM integration, and MCP servers. Understanding of FedRAMP and ability to generate compliance evidence. Strong drive to eliminate manual work and automate repetitive tasks.
