OBGYN Medical Front Desk Receptionist
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy OBGYN practice . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced women’s healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in OBGYN patients with professionalism and empathy
- Check patients out, schedule follow-up visits, ultrasounds, and procedures
- Manage a high volume of incoming calls related to appointments, referrals, and patient questions
- Verify demographics, insurance information, and collect co-pays
- Assist patients with understanding balances, billing questions, and insurance coverage
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Support providers and clinical staff as needed
Requirements:
- Medical front desk experience required (OBGYN experience strongly preferred)
- Ability to handle heavy phone volume in a busy practice
- Strong understanding of insurance, co-pays, and patient balances
- Excellent customer service and multitasking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior OBGYN or women’s health experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus
