Job Description

OBGYN Medical Front Desk Receptionist

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy OBGYN practice . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced women’s healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

Greet and check in OBGYN patients with professionalism and empathy
Check patients out, schedule follow-up visits, ultrasounds, and procedures
Manage a high volume of incoming calls related to appointments, referrals, and patient questions
Verify demographics, insurance information, and collect co-pays
Assist patients with understanding balances, billing questions, and insurance coverage
Maintain accurate electronic medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
Support providers and clinical staff as needed

Requirements:

Medical front desk experience required (OBGYN experience strongly preferred)
Ability to handle heavy phone volume in a busy practice
Strong understanding of insurance, co-pays, and patient balances
Excellent customer service and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior OBGYN or women’s health experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus
