KVC Missouri Community-Based Services - Foster Care Case Management Location: Springfield, MO and surrounding communities
Work Schedule: Primarily field-based work, with 1-3 days in office for supervision and meetings.
Pay: $43,888-$46,000 annually, based on education and relevant experience Required Education:
Experience & Skills Prior case management or child welfare experience is not required. We provide comprehensive training, hands-on support, ongoing supervision, mentoring, and supportive leadership to help you succeed in the role. What we are looking for is someone who has professional skills, judgment, and desire to build a career in social work and child welfare. You will be successful in this role if you can: Document clearly and accurately: Maintain detailed, timely, and professional documentation while managing multiple deadlines and responsibilities. Think critically: Gather information, assess situations, identify concerns, and make thoughtful decisions based on the needs and best interests of children and families. Resolve conflict: Remain calm and professional during difficult conversations, work through disagreements, and help identify solutions when situations are challenging. Communicate effectively: Clearly communicate with children, families, foster parents, schools, service providers, courts, and other professionals. Build relationships: Establish trust and maintain professional relationships with families, children, and community partners, even when circumstances are difficult. Stay organized: Manage appointments, meetings, documentation, case responsibilities, and competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Problem-solve: Approach complex situations with curiosity, sound judgment, and a solution-focused mindset. Work independently: Feel comfortable working in the community and managing your responsibilities while knowing when to seek guidance or support. Receive and apply feedback: Be open to coaching, supervision, and ongoing professional development. Advocate for children and families: Understand different perspectives, identify needs, and work toward solutions that support safety, stability, and permanency. - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Education, or another related human services field preferred.
