R&D Tax Credit Manager / Senior Manager | Carolinas or Remote

Talent Fund Select Partners is partnering with a well-established regional CPA and advisory firm to identify an experienced R&D Tax Credit Manager / Senior Manager.

\n

This is much more than a traditional delivery role.

\n

\n

The R&D Tax Credit practice has been built from the ground up and has reached the point where continued growth requires another experienced R&D professional who can take meaningful ownership of client delivery, help develop the team, and play a role in shaping how the practice operates as it scales.

\n

\n

For someone who has spent several years executing R&D studies within a larger organization or specialty consulting environment, this is an opportunity to have considerably more influence over the practice itself. The person joining will have a real voice in evolving processes, procedures, staffing, client delivery models, and the broader growth of the practice.

\n

Key areas of responsibility include:

\n

\n
• Managing R&D tax credit studies from beginning to end
\n
• Leading client interviews and, when appropriate, facility and site visits
\n
• Managing quantitative analysis and supporting data
\n
• Developing and reviewing technical documentation and qualitative narratives
\n
• Translating complex R&D tax concepts into practical language for business owners, CFOs, tax leaders, engineers, and technical teams
\n
• Training and developing junior professionals, including team members who may not have previous R&D experience
\n
• Helping establish and improve procedures as the practice continues to scale
\n
• Participating in decisions around engagement scope, delivery approach, staffing, and client service
\n
• Developing strong client relationships and becoming a trusted advisor rather than simply a technical resource
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Approximately 4-6+ years of dedicated R&D tax credit experience
\n
• Experience managing an R&D study through the full lifecycle
\n
• Strength across both sides of the work: quantitative analysis and data, as well as qualitative interviews and technical documentation
\n
• The ability to operate independently and take ownership of engagements
\n
• Strong client-facing communication skills
\n
• The ability to train and develop less-experienced professionals
\n
• A practical and flexible approach to R&D consulting, particularly with privately held and middle-market organizations
\n
