Pharmacist in Charge in Saint Louis, MO

An Interim Pharmacist in Charge is needed immediately at a behavioral health inpatient facility in St Charles, MO. This temporary role offers an opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a focused clinical setting for approximately four weeks, until a permanent hire is made.


Location: St Charles, MO

Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health

Duration: Approximately 4 weeks (contract)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 30-minute unpaid meal break

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and compliance within the inpatient behavioral health environment
• Manage medication packaging and dispensing processes, including repackaging using systems such as Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL
• Utilize Omnicell technology for medication distribution and inventory management
• Perform basic loading of drugs into automated dispensing machines and generate restock reports
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery
• Maintain adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Missouri pharmacist license required
• Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or in a similar leadership role preferred
• Familiarity with Omnicell systems strongly preferred
• Experience with automated repackaging systems (Milt, Medi-dose, HCL) desirable
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare teams in a behavioral health setting
