Apply now and start your adventure with us!/ppResponsibilities Expectations:/ppThe ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience working with motors, switchgear, transformers, controls, variable frequency drives, protective relays, and other electrical equipment. As a field service technician travel to customers in the Western US will be essential./pulliElectrical installation, including but not limited to conduit, cable, low and medium voltage switchgear and electrical apparatus/liliPerforms preventative maintenance and repairs on all types of electrical and electronic systems, both indoors and outdoors/liliWorking knowledge in low voltage and medium voltage ranging from 120v up to 46kv/liliProficiency in the use of electrical test meters: DVMs, megger, ammeters, hipot, ductor, Doble, etc./liliAble to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings/liliThorough knowledge of electrical theory, experience in AC and DC power circuits/liliGeneral knowledge of low medium voltage circuit breakers/liliTravel to perform regular PMs and or emergency projects/liliPerform basic control wiring installation using schematics and wiring diagrams with little assistance/liliProvide and maintain personal tools/li/ulpQualifications and Competencies:/pulliAt least 3 years electrical experience desired/liliExperience related to utility companies and heavy industry a plus/liliElectrical education or certifications are a plus/liliMust have a strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy/liliMust have strong written and verbal communication skills/liliMust have good customer relations skills and able to remain calm during stressful situations/liliAbility to work under pressure in a challenging fast-paced environment/liliAbility to take direction and act independently. Must also be able to work well with a team/liliAbility to manage multiple priorities and stay organized/liliMust be a self-starter and able to make quick decisions/liliMust be willing to follow standard safety practices in performing job tasks to promote safe and efficient workmanship/liliMust show a history of being reliable and dependable. Ability to work overtime as required/liliMust be able to physically perform all required duties which may include: bending, lifting, carrying, squatting, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, or standing for prolonged periods of time/liliBe willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment and work around industrial equipment/liliBe willing to travel and work in several different geographic locations (indoors outdoors)/liliMust have at least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted drivers license/liliMust be willing to confidently submit to the background and drug screening process/li/ulpYoull thrive at IPS if you/pp Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.
