Children's Medical Center, Inc. is a division of CareCloud Practice Management a subsidiary of CareCloud Inc.Job Summary: The floor nurse position for Children's Medical Center, is responsible for rooming patients, evaluating patients, taking patient history, parent education, assisting physicians when necessary as well as maintaining medical supplies, stocking rooms and using sterilization equipment. This position includes but not limited to quality patient care, accurate medical chart documentation, maintaining OSHA and HIPAA compliance, maintaining equipment and environmental safety. Performs all other tasks assigned.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlaces patients in exam rooms and takes health historyPerforms evaluations of child: Temp, weight, head circumference, BP and pulseAdministers vaccinesAdministers antibiotic injectionsAdministers O2 per mask or cannulaAdministers Albuterol or Vaponephrine nebulizer treatmentsPerforms deep suctionPerforms ear irrigationsCollects RSV, viral and flu culturesPerforms bladder catheterizations and runs UAs in officeCollects and runs throat culturesCollects specimen and tests for non-fasting lipid screenCollects specimen and run rapid flu testsCollects specimen and run rapid RSV testsSplints extremities and fingers with aluminum or plaster splintsAdministers OET (hearing test)Administers TympanogramAdministers visual acuity testMaintains current professional license and CPR certificateOffers high level of customer service to patients and familiesAssists other personnel in times of high volumeWillingly participates in a team environment.
