Company global leader in data intelligence and geospatial technology is looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, scale, and evolve the infrastructure that supports one of the most robust data ecosystems in the market worldwide.

In this role you will be part of the core of the business, working alongside world-class engineers, data scientists, and platform experts to build distributed systems that process and deliver billions of records daily, enabling high-impact products for global clients.

You will report to the Platform Engineering team and have direct influence over the architecture, operational efficiency, and scalability of the entire data platform.

What Will You Do In This Position?

• Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure of the data platform on AWS (EKS, EMR, Glue, S3, Terraform).
• Develop scalable systems to orchestrate tens of thousands of data processing jobs efficiently and reliably.
• Work hand-in-hand with Data Engineering and Machine Learning teams to enable cloud-native computing environments at a large scale.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Harness).
• Continuously optimize costs, reliability, and performance of clusters, storage, and computing loads.
• Build tooling and abstractions that simplify workflows for engineering teams and improve platform usability.
• Implement and evolve observability and monitoring practices with Prometheus, Grafana, and Dynatrace.
• Collaborate transversally in the evolution of the architecture and in the scaling of the platform to new levels of complexity and volume.

What Should You Have Previously?

• Professional degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience building and operating distributed systems or data platforms.
• Solid domain of at least one of these languages: Scala, Java, or Python.
• Practical experience with AWS services (EKS, EMR, Glue, S3, ECR) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Deep knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of cloud networks, resource management, and cost optimization.
• Experience working with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, LogDNA/Mezmo).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaborative work skills.

Additionally Valued:

• Experience with data engineering tools like Apache Spark, Databricks, or Airflow.
• Knowledge of modern data storage formats (Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift).
• Exposure to ML infrastructure or data pipelines for AI models.
• Experience building platforms or frameworks reusable by multiple teams.
