VMC CNC Milling Operator (Haas 3–4 Axis)

Picture your day: you clock in at 7:00 AM in Everett, WA, review the day’s blueprints, load material into a Haas VMC, dial in your fixtures, and kick off the first-piece inspection before the production run ramps up. By mid-morning, you’ve made a smart tool wear offset, logged inspection results, and flagged a minor quality concern for the team. The afternoon brings a quick setup and tool changeover, a round of in-process checks with calipers and micrometers, and routine maintenance to keep the spindle humming. You wrap up your shift at 3:30 PM knowing the parts you produced meet exacting tolerances and ship on time.

Role Details

• Location: Everett, WA
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Pay: $24.00–$28.00 per hour DOE

What You’ll Handle

• Operate and keep watch over CNC milling machines (primarily Haas 3–4 axis VMCs) and supporting equipment.
• Load/unload raw stock and finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic setups, tool changes, and on-the-fly machine adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to plan each operation.
• Verify quality with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Complete first-article, in-process, and final inspections to meet specs.
• Apply minor offsets and compensate for tool wear as needed.
• Spot and escalate equipment, machining, or quality issues quickly.
• Document production and inspection data accurately.
• Support tooling and equipment projects when requested.
• Conduct routine maintenance and keep the work area clean.
• Follow all safety procedures without exception.

Must-Have Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience, including CNC milling operation.
• Confident blueprint/technical drawing interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Working knowledge of CNC machining processes and shop practices.
• Self-directed, productive work style across the full shift.
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality.

Nice to Have

• Haas CNC operation experience.
• Ability to run basic setups and adjustments independently.
• Comfort with CNC controls and minor program edits.
• Technical/vocational training in machining or a related field.
