Description Direct Support Professional (Community Supports) City: Oskaloosa, IA · Type: Full-time, Part-time · Openings: 2 · Pay field: $13 to $16 per hour Daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with no nights and no regular weekends on the full-time opening. We have two Direct Support Professional openings in Oskaloosa community supports: one full-time role providing hourly supports, and one part-time role in our LINC program. The LINC program is an opportunity to help clients engage in community activities that take place in the evenings and on weekends. Shifts available Full-time hourly supports: Monday to Friday, with hours that vary by day. Monday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. That is about 41 scheduled hours Part-time LINC program: days vary according to the monthly LINC calendar What you'll do Provide hourly in-home and community supports, including skill building, errands, and meals Support people during LINC program activities Assist with personal care when needed and keep clear notes What you'll bring Dependability, patience, and good judgment on your own Valid driver's license and reliable transportation The ability to pass background checks Pay: $13 to $16 per hour. Employment depends on passing background checks. Requirements Qualifications/Requirements: High school education or equivalent; experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Must possess bask knowledge of computers and computer-based programs. Satisfactory results on background checks pertaining to criminal and abuse registries. Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions. Successfully complete all new hire orientation checklist. Satisfactory attend all required trainings by agency. Successfully complete the established medication administration training and observe pass medications accordingly. Must have access to a telephone.
