Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work at our outpatient center in Novi, MI.

Work Schedule: Part time, 3rd shift 3:00AM-7:30AM Will work Monday-Thursday and Saturday one week and Sunday, Monday, Wednesday-Friday the 2nd week

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcoholtestsetc.

• Perform data entry of patient information inan accurateandtimelymanner

• Process billing information and collect payments whenrequired

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

• Maintain patient and specimen information logs

• Provide superior customer service to all patients

• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

• Travel toadditionalsites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1year or more experience as a phlebotomist

• 1 year or more expeirence as a phlebotomist in a hosptial setting

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

• Proventrack recordin providing exceptional customer service

• Strong communicationskills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
