Child Nutrition Staff

Job Description:
Ensures appropriate quality and quantity of food is served to students and staff

Responsibilities:
1. Follows all federal and state regulations for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs
2. Follows all federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation requirements
3. Sets up food and supplies for serving in a timely and efficient manner
4. Serves meals, meal components and a la carte items to students following designated portion sizes
5. Supplies and replenishes food items for the serving line(s) as needed
6. Store or dispose of excess food properly and according to food code
7. Properly record data on temperature logs, production records and labels daily
8. Correctly operates and cleans kitchen equipment such as: ovens, steamers, mixers, serving lines, and dish machine
9. Operates cash register and counts money daily if required
10. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
11. Ability to get along with the public, employees and students
12. Ability to work well under pressure and in emergency situations
13. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Superintendent or his or her designee may assign.
