Fire Protection Engineer (Direct Hire) | $140,000 - $160,000 Are you a skilled Fire Protection Engineer looking to make a meaningful impact in a highly regulated industrial environment? Join a team where your expertise in fire protection systems, life safety compliance, and risk management will help safeguard critical operations and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and maintain fire protection programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Perform fire hazard analyses, risk assessments, and recommend effective mitigation strategies. Review and approve fire protection system designs, calculations, drawings, and vendor submittals. Oversee inspection, testing, maintenance (ITM), commissioning, and acceptance testing of fire protection and life safety systems. Support emergency preparedness initiatives, fire prevention programs, and coordination with emergency response teams. Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to internal teams, contractors, and vendors. Drive corrective actions, reliability improvements, and continuous program enhancements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 6+ years of fire protection engineering experience in industrial, manufacturing, chemical, nuclear, DOE, or other regulated environments. Strong knowledge of fire protection codes, standards, system design, and life safety requirements. Experience reviewing hydraulic calculations, alarm/detection systems, and fire protection drawings. Ability to obtain and maintain a Q Clearance. PE license and experience with special hazard systems are highly preferred. Manufacturing, assembly, high-vacuum systems, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
