Ultrasound Technician - Travel Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Days, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Call required for 5-7 days per month.

The Ultrasound Technician performs all ultrasound procedures independently, following departmental protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging results. This role requires recognizing and documenting pathologies during scanning for interpretation by a radiologist. The technician will also be responsible for patient care, safety, and comfort during imaging procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

• Perform abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms.
• Proficiently scan small parts such as thyroid, breast, and scrotum.
• Conduct ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
• Document imaging procedures and patient information in the electronic health record system.
• Monitor and maintain an adequate supply of imaging materials, coordinating inventory replenishment as needed.

• 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and eligible for ultrasound certification.
• State License required (New Mexico).
• Ultrasound ARDMS certification required.
• Experience in ECHO, OB, and general ultrasound procedures.
