Operations Manager

Operated by Methodist Home for Children in partnership with the Department of Public Safety, the NEW Eastern Area Juvenile Crisis and Assessment Center will provide a comprehensive juvenile assessment in a residential setting with the goal of matching the youth to the most appropriate services in his or her community. The Center will serve Level II offenders between the ages of 10 and 17. We are seeking an Operations Manager for this new program in Kinston, NC. Pay is $50,000+, based on education and experience. Our crisis & assessment centers serve boys and girls with histories of mental illness, neglect, trauma, or substance abuse. Referred by juvenile court counselors, they stay 14 to 30 days for comprehensive testing and observation under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and licensed clinical case managers. They leave with a plan of care that maps out their strengths, areas of focus, goals, and services in their community that can help (therapy, counseling for substance abuse or mental health, educational/vocational training or other). WHAT DOES THE OPERATIONS MANAGER DO? The Operations Manager is responsible for the on-site administration and supervision of program operations. Responsibilities include programmatic supervision of the Center, as well as management of the Center's budget, staff, delivery of program services, coordination of volunteers, and relationships with service professionals, clients and their families, neighbors of the home and the general community. ARE YOU QUALIFIED? Previous supervisory experience of child-care workers is required, specifically direct care experience with adolescents and their families. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college. A degree in a human services field is preferred. Masters degree preferred.
