The Special Education Coordinator will report directly to the Co-Directors of Student Services. They will collaborate with directors, school principals, assistant principals and families to ensure that programs under their supervision are properly implemented. Their primary function is to create and lead efforts to ensure the smooth operation of Special Education services at the school-level and across the district, align curricula, and foster effective instructional practice while ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws. Qualifications Candidate must be licensed in Special Education and will possess a Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university and will show evidence of at least three years satisfactory full-time experience in the classroom. If an RPS employee, they must have completed RBT’s Studying Skillful Teaching or Understanding Teaching I or Ribas & Associates’ Teaching to All Learners.
