Operating Room Registered Nurse

The role requires an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the operating room setting. Duties will include assisting with various surgical procedures and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient recovery and care. Candidates should be comfortable with call duty and may need to recover patients post-surgery. The daily census will involve a total of seven patients, with support from various therapeutic and diagnostic teams. A focus on infection control and patient safety will be paramount. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. All applicants should meet the necessary qualifications and have the required certifications to apply.

Must-Have:

• Previous charge experience
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Skills in various surgical procedures including:
• Lobe resection
• Lung resection (Thoracotomy)
• Appendectomy
• Cholecystectomy
• Colon resection
• Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical)
• Laparoscopic assisted procedures
• Thyroidectomy (partial/total)
• Arthroscopy
• Closed reduction of fractures
• Laminectomy/discectomy
• Open reduction of fractures
• Ortho/Spine
• Spinal Fusion
• Total joint replacement
• Cystoscopy
• Nephrectomy
• Prostatectomy
• Transurethral resection of the prostate
• Fire safety
