Production Lead

Schedule: Mon-Fri | 1st Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM Compensation: $19-$24 per hour, plus a $2,000 prepaid card for medical expenses (prorated based on start date) Who We Are We are changing the norm by being customer-focused, technology-led. viaPhoton builds custom-engineered fiber optic solutions that power AI infrastructure, data centers, and 5G networks for some of the biggest names in tech. We're looking for dependable, hardworking people who take pride in their work and want to grow with us. About the Role You'll lead a production team and shape how we work every day. You'll assign tasks, train new people, run quality checks, and keep schedules on track. This is a hands-on leadership role where you directly shape both product quality and team success. Oversee and assign production employees to specific work areas, making sure they have what they need to succeed Train new and returning employees and document their progress and skill development Conduct quality spot checks with proper documentation and flag any issues immediately Make sure your team is handling products correctly and keeping their workspace safe and clean Step into supervisor responsibilities when needed and maintain accurate production records Use Odoo and ERP scheduling to keep production aligned with customer demand What You’ll Bring Are familiar with production procedures, policies, and goals Can lead a team and communicate clearly with members across shifts Are comfortable using hand tools and understanding Odoo scheduling software Follow safety policies and procedures closely Work well with a team and other departments Have careful attention to detail in a team that’s moving fast Robust health, dental, and vision coverage that starts on day 1 401(k) with 4% match, vests immediately after a 90-day waiting period Flexible PTO that grows over time 10 paid holidays, including 2 floating holidays At viaPhoton, we are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion.
