Description
Position Description – This position includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Conduct door-to-door sales outreach to residential and commercial properties within assigned territory
- Identify and approach potential customers, introduce propane services, and explain the advantages of using propane for heating, cooking, and other energy needs
- Provide customers with accurate and detailed information about propane delivery plans, equipment options, pricing, and safety benefits
- Build rapport with homeowners and business owners to understand their energy needs and offer tailored propane solutions
- Qualify leads and capture customer information, scheduling follow-up meetings or appointments when necessary
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge and overcome objections to close sales effectively
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales targets and KPIs set by your supervisors in writing
- Always maintain a professional and courteous attitude while engaging with customers
- Report daily activity, sales progress, and customer feedback to the Sales Supervisor
- Display working knowledge of ticket placing system
- Drive to and connected with potential customers for a minimum of 75% of the workday
- Remain current on industry developments and emerging trends
- Provide quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints
- Work with Operations to schedule service work with customers
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Clean background
- Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Previous outside sales experience preferred
- Proficiency in all Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills
