We are committed to providing whole person care, investing in your well-being, and enriching your career.Key Position Details:.75 FTE (60 hours per two-week pay period)8/12 combo hours day/evening/night shiftEvery 3rd weekend rotation with a 12-hour shiftThis position will work in Same Day Surgery, Medical/Surgical Unit and the Birth CenterJob Description:Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, the Patient Care Technician provides basic direct and indirect patient care. This includes taking and documenting vital signs, answering call lights, assisting patients with activities such as daily living and transfers and other clerical duties.Principle ResponsibilitiesObserves, collects, and documents health status data as assigned.Performs personal care/interventions as assigned.Performs clerical duties and assists with patient registration.Contributes to an environment that is safe for patients, visitors and employees.Required QualificationsMust meet one of the following requirements: 18 years of age OR: 17 years of age with high school diploma or GEDMust meet one of the following requirements: Completion of one semester of clinical rotations with an accredited nursing program OR: Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program OR: Completion of the Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program OR: NREMT certification upon hire OR: Previous direct patient care experienceLicenses/CertificationsMust meet at least ONE of the requirements below: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)Physical DemandsMedium Work*: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequentlyPay RangePay Range: $21.76 to $28.57 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
