Pay Rate: $36–$38/hour

A leading healthcare organization in Houston is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian II to support a highly specialized pediatric clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dietitian with strong clinical nutrition experience, particularly in TPN and pediatric care, to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment within a respected healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for pediatric patients with low to high-complexity nutritional needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
• Provide advanced nutrition counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Support disease management through evidence-based nutritional interventions
• Maintain accurate and compliant patient documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
• Customize educational materials to improve patient understanding and engagement
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on optimizing patient outcomes
• Assist with training and mentoring team members in specialized nutrition care practices
• Promote nutrition services and contribute to program development initiatives

Preferred Clinical Experience

• Pediatric TPN experience strongly preferred
• TPN experience required
• Pediatric nephrology experience is a plus
• Experience working in complex clinical or hospital-based nutrition settings highly valued

Required Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Licensed Dietitian in the State of Texas (or eligible for licensure)
• Minimum of 3 years of Registered Dietitian experience
• Graduate of an accredited nutrition or dietetics education program
• Strong knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process and evidence-based clinical nutrition practices
• Excellent communication, counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and varying health literacy levels
