Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Positions feature elementary caseloads in specialized classroom settings. The ASD programs provide strong partnership with speech pathologists, social workers, occupational and physical therapists, plus the daily support of three dedicated paraprofessionals. The therapeutic classrooms serve approximately 10 students, fostering positive behavioral growth within a nurturing atmosphere and leveraging consistent paraprofessional assistance.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Current Michigan Special Education Certification (required)
- Experience teaching or supporting students with ASD (for ASD Program)
- Experience with behavioral or therapeutic populations (for Therapeutic Program)
- A passion for inclusive teaching and collaborative problem-solving
- Excellent communication and adaptability skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored instructional strategies aligned with student IEPs
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary team members
- Working alongside paraprofessionals to foster a safe, engaging classroom
- Supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Maintaining documentation and communication with families as needed
