Electrician Helper

Job Summary Electrician III position is primarily responsible for assisting in the maintenance of electrical and lighting systems for billboards. Job Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and lighting systems Learn from others Troubleshoot and repair systems related to digital LED signage Assist other electricians with work Follow local building codes and the National Electrical Code Apply knowledge of NFPA70E, OSHA, and safe work practices Perform other duties as assigned or requested Job Qualifications Education and Certifications: Apprentice Electrician or Apprentice Sign Electrician Valid in‑state driver’s license suitable for light commercial vehicles Mathematical acumen: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Proficiency in English (written and spoken) Access to a reliable vehicle Competencies Achievement Orientation – Focus on high quality results consistent with organizational standards Attention to Detail – Work conscientiously, consistently, and thoroughly Concern for Safety – Identify hazardous situations and take appropriate action to maintain a safe environment Digital Literacy – Engage with digital technologies to accomplish goals and solve challenges Planning and Organizing – Reach goals by making and following plans and managing time and resources effectively Fostering Communication – Listen and communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully with diverse audiences; compose clear and concise emails and documentation Ability to read, analyze, and interpret verbal and written requests and directions Physical Demands Regularly lift, pull, push, and position ladders, ropes, pulleys, material, and equipment in excess of 85 pounds Climb ladders and/or stairs and work at heights of 100 feet or more Close vision and ability to adjust focus Work outdoors in seasonally inclement weather Occasional exposure to heat, cold, poisonous plants, and insects Compensation The Targeted Compensation Rate for this New York position is $21.00 per hour. Roles are overtime eligible. Some Union roles are eligible for Productivity Pay as governed by your CBA. All Union Employees are governed by Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
