Requirements

Licensure: Active California Dental Hygiene License (Required).
Experience: Proven experience working with patients of all age groups.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Dentrix software is a significant plus; strong knowledge of dental anatomy, medical coding, and infection control is essential.
Compliance: Deep understanding of medical terminology, records management, and HIPAA regulations.
Soft Skills: Exceptional patient care skills with a focus on empathy, professionalism, and education.
Commute: Reliable ability to commute to Ridgecrest, CA.

Job Description

Clinical Care: Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing to prevent decay and gum disease.
Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments, including reviewing medical histories and recording vital signs with meticulous documentation.
Education: Empower patients with personalized guidance on oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive strategies.
Chairside Assistance: Support the dentist during various procedures using efficient four-handed dentistry techniques.
Imaging & Safety: Take and interpret dental radiographs while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic sterilization protocols.
Administration: Review medical records for HIPAA compliance and maintain accurate charting.
