Yard Attendant

Full‑Time | Monday–Friday | Weekly Pay | Outdoor, Active Role

If you enjoy staying active, working outdoors, and being around vehicles all day, this is a great opportunity to join a busy logistics team. You’ll help move, inspect, and prepare vehicles for shipment in a fast‑paced port environment — no experience required beyond a valid driver’s license and reliability .

• Drive vehicles in and out of shipping containers
• Inspect vehicles for damage and document findings
• Stage and organize vehicles throughout the yard
• Secure vehicles inside containers using straps/lashing
• Assist with loading and unloading containerized units
• Maintain accuracy while working at a steady pace (~100 vehicles/week)
• Follow all port safety rules and equipment procedures

• Comfortable driving different vehicle types (manual is a plus)
• Able to work in a physical, high‑movement role
• Experience with general labor, inspection, or shipping/receiving
• Reliable, safety‑minded, and able to follow instructions
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Outdoor industrial port setting with active equipment
• Work in all weather: heat, cold, rain
• Frequent climbing in/out of vehicles and containers
• Long walking distances, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portsmouth, VA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
