Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult medical-surgical patients, under the direction of the charge nurse and attending physicians.
- Monitor patient status, assess vitals, and respond to changes in condition; administer medications and treatments per orders.
- Manage telemetry monitoring for appropriate patients as indicated and coordinate with the care team to update care plans.
- Perform routine nursing procedures (IV therapy, wound care, specimen collection) and ensure patient safety, comfort, and pain management.
- Document accurately in the electronic health record, including admissions, assessments, interventions, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to support smooth patient flow and timely discharge planning.

Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification highly desired (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting and participate in rotating shifts
